How to Find Your Phone Number on iPhone (iOS)
To find your phone number on iPhone, open Settings › Phone and read it at the top under My Number. You can also open the Phone app › Contacts and tap your card at the top. If My Number is blank after a new SIM or eSIM, tap Detect my number below to read it off a live call — free, no app.
Find it in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap Phone (on iOS 18 and later you may find it under Apps › Phone).
- Your number is at the top under My Number.
Find it in Contacts (My Card)
Open the Phone app, tap Contacts, and your own My Card sits at the very top with your number. If there’s no card, you can create one and set it as My Info — that’s also what lets Siri answer “what’s my number” (see our Hey Siri guide).
Why is My Number blank, and how to fix it
A blank My Number means iOS hasn’t read the number from the SIM/eSIM — usual right after activating an eSIM, swapping a SIM, or on some carriers. Quick fixes: toggle Airplane mode off and on, restart the iPhone, or re-seat a physical SIM. If it’s still blank, dial your carrier’s check code (see check your number by carrier) or tap Detect my number above to read it off a live call.
Dual-SIM and eSIM iPhones
On a dual-SIM iPhone, open Settings › Cellular and tap each line (for example Primary and Secondary) to see its own number. The label you set here (Primary/Business/etc.) is what appears when you choose a line to call or text from.
Find it on any other device
Not on iPhone? See finding your number on Android, ask a voice assistant, or show your number on screen to copy or share it.
